From 1985 to 2009, 25% of the theatre ticket price was treated as a voluntary donation to charity with patrons having the opportunity to opt out of this payment. From the 2009/2010 Season, patrons have been able to support local charities by adding a suggested £1 to the ticket price on an opt in basis.

The actual charity chosen to benefit from each production will be one nominated by members of The Miller Centre Club or The Miller Centre Players. The Miller Centre Charity Committee makes the decision as to which charities benefit from the scheme.

Over 140 charities, mostly local or those of particular concern to members, have been helped, some on more than one occasion. Over £500,000 has been raised so far, thanks to the generosity of our patrons. Nominations for future consideration (from members only) may be made in writing to The Secretary, Miller Centre Charity Committee at the Miller Centre.
